The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) is here to support you at every stage of your proposal development and submission process. From identifying funding opportunities and developing proposals to navigating compliance requirements and administering programs, we are dedicated to ensuring that your research projects are set up for success from the start.

Communicate information on funding opportunities that match faculty and staff needs
Assist with large-scale interdisciplinary proposals
Provide education around available funding-finding tools
Develop your proposal
Provide proposal-writing support for research and sponsored programs
Assist with interpreting sponsor's guidelines and regulations
Guide your budgeting and compliance needs
Shepherd your award
Verify that appropriate regulatory approvals and assurances are in place
Obtain authorized organizational representatives’ signatures on proposals and contracts
Manage compliance & ethics
Provide resources for ensuring that your research adheres to federal, state and institutional policies
Assist with IRB, IACUC, conflict of interest and export control requirements
Help administer projects
Assist project leads with the administration of their grants and sponsored research, including financial management, procurement activities and human resources processes
Monitor and aid in the submission of technical reports
Use allocated funds
Provide guidance and assistance with spending awarded funds in alignment with appropriate regulations and institutional policies
Work with the project lead and grants accountant to aid in the submission of financial reports
