Provost Debra J. Liebowitz, PhD
Meet Our Provost
Debra Liebowitz is an innovative leader with an impactful record of creating partnerships and launching initiatives that enable university growth, promote diversity, strengthen shared governance and foster immersive learning opportunities. She oversees all academic programs at Quinnipiac, the university’s eight schools and the College of Arts and Sciences and all other academic units and centers. She is also a professor of political science at Quinnipiac.
Since joining Quinnipiac in 2020, Liebowitz has played a key role in earning Board of Trustees support for unprecedented investments in academic facilities and faculty hiring at the university. These initiatives include a new School of Business, an innovation, science and technology building and a strategic faculty hiring initiative to build distinctive academic offerings, promote interdisciplinary collaborations, advance the recruitment, retention and success of underrepresented faculty and students.
